Tardigrade Beanie
Have you ever gone looking for tardigrades? Take a bit of moss and soak it in freshwater and then look at the droplets under a microscope and you may find these water bears. They are known for being the ultimate little survivors, whether spending time in the vacuum of space or decades dehydrated, or just chilling in your garden...
Or now on adventures with you in beanie format.
The base beanie is made of 100% acrylic and can be machine washed in cold water and dried on low heat. The embroidered design is made with Floriani Polyester embroidery thread. Laid flat with the rim folded up as in the photo, the beanie is ~8" wide and ~8.5" tall.
While the design may appear crinkled in photos, this is intentional as the beanie was stretched in the embroidery hoop so that it would lay nicely when worn. The beanies pictured are samples, your beanie may vary slightly as I make them all myself, but I will do my best to match them.
This design is adapted from a public domain PhyloPic, which you can find at this link: https://www.phylopic.org/images/d61f4d06-73d2-4e8b-a914-edeb89d48daf/eutardigrada
