Glow in the Dark Nudibranch Patch

These nudibranchs, also known as sea slugs, come in a variety of colors and all of these patches glow in the dark (the glow is all a similar green). Nudibranchs come in many brilliant colors in the wild, often signaling that they are poisonous. While the nudibranchs defenses warn off predators, they've unintentionally attracted the interest of humans, as the combination of showy colors and wild shapes are delightful to look at.
I created this design based on public domain drawings by Ernst Haeckel, which I simplified by hand into line-art that I then digitized into embroidery
This species is reminiscent of opalescent nudibranchs to me, but also reminds me of the first nudibranch I ever handled in person, a mousy nudibranch a mentor had in lab.
