Bolinopsis - Lineart Patch

Bolinopsis is a genus of ctenophore (also called comb jellies), which casts rainbows via refraction with the ciliated combs they wave for locomotion. While they are plankton and carried by the current, they can turn and maneuver shockingly well.

What's also special about Bolinopsis is that it has bioluminescence that can be set off when it bumps into things, which is why I wanted to offer a glow in the dark version of this beautiful creature.

I designed this patch based on a simplified version of a sketch I did of a Bolinopsis in 2018 while doing field studies. Ctenophores hold a special place in my heart, and this patch is the perfect size to keep near yours if you wanted to add it to a pocket.

Options:

*I primarily offer sky blue or black felt as a background but can do other colors upon request.
*My two recommended threads are the variegated metallic or the glow in the dark (white in light, green in the dark), but I have many other colors available upon request.
