Eye Splat Bandana | Chaotic Happy Collab
This piece was created as part of a collaboration with Chaotic Happy (@Chaotic_Happy) on IG.
I'm drawn to Chaotic Happy's work because to me it has a sense of brevity without minimalism. Their embrace of bold color & chaos carried out in each piece through a focused collection of shapes created through repetition is both meditative and poetic.
Their designs also lend themselves incredibly well to creative embroidery and applique.
We've done a lot of fun pieces with this eye splat, and now it's available as a bandana!
The base bandana is an approximately 19" square of black cotton fabric with cotton appliques and 100% Polyester Floriani embroidery thread. The embroidered design is approximately 4.5" x 4".
Image 1 ID: Black bandana with an eye with a pink iris surrounded by two overlapping splats in embroidery. The outer splat is a floral pink and the inner splat is a deeper red orange pattern.
Image 2 ID: The inversion of the first bandana - this one with the iris and outer splat being deeper red orange and the inner splat being pink.
