Pride Flag with Stripe Meanings Sticker
~3" x 2.5" vinyl sticker with waterproof laminate
I created these stickers based on the original Pride Flag design by Gilbert Baker, Lynn Segerblom, and James McNamara because I think it's really important to preserve and be connected to our queer history. While fabric availability lead to the removal of the pink stripe for "Sex" and with it the turquoise stripe for "Magic and Art" to keep an even number of stripes, we don't have that limitation now and I think all three are valuable parts of our experience to celebrate.
One of the original flags is on display in San Francisco at the GLBT Historical Society Museum and they have photos and a write-up about the flag at the link below if you want to learn more: https://www.glbthistory.org/rainbow-flag
Image ID 1: A rectangular sticker of the original Gilbert Baker Pride Flag stripes labelled with their meanings in text outlined in white. From top to bottom they are Pink for Sex, Red for Life, Orange for Healing, Yellow for Sunlight, Green for Nature, Turquoise for Magic/Art, Indigo for Serenity, and Violet for Spirit
Image ID 2: The same sticker but shown amongst some bamboo. This photo shows that the sticker has a thin black border around the flag.
